Pictures of Brangelina Twins Sell For Over 14 Million Dollars

lise charmel princesse de cleves

My youngest and last child was born on January 2nd of this year. I am sure there are many of you wondering why I have not released photos of the little princess.

The reason is simple enough. I am waiting for the highest bidder.

So far I have an offer of two coupons for free Egg McMuffins at McDonalds. I really do like Egg McMuffins so this is an attractive offer. Yet I feel like I should hold out for more. I could only dream of a free tank of gas. Although that value has been decreasing over the last couple of weeks.

Yes the pictures of Brad and Angelina’s new twins sold for over 14 million dollars. Can you imagine? Perhaps my babies pictures would sell for more if everyone in the world knew my wife and I by our first name. Or perhaps Lindsay and I should combine our names. You know that is a good idea. From now on if you see us walking down the swanky boulevards of Aurora, Indiana you should turn to your friends and say “Hey look, it’s Dansay.” Maybe not.

While I was thinking about writing this article I felt a little disappointed that my child was somehow less important than their children. Then I thought no, no it has nothing to do with the children it is the fact that the twins parents are more important than Lindsay and I. I felt better only momentarily until another realization hit and then I was a little miffed that Lindsay and I were less important than Brad and Angelina.

But that is a little irrational as well. Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and their multiple children are possibly the most famous family on earth right now. They make movies we do not. Actually we have some pretty cute home movies but there are not many buyers interested in those either.

I guess the thing is that those home movies and oh yes my children are important to me. I have five amazing children and a beautiful wife. On the day my children were born our families gathered around. On the day that Lindsay and I were married our families gathered around. They took pictures that will remain in scrapbooks long after I am gone. There is value in that.

So valuable that 14 million dollars does not even come close to what those pictures and my memories are worth.

I do not mean to be a spoil sport. I am happy for Brad and Angelina. Those kids have amazing parents.

And if truth be told, I may have been a little interested to see what their kids looked like. Alright I might as well tell you. On the day I heard their pictures were released I may have gone online so that I could sneak a peak.

And then I went to read sports things and fix the toilet.

More Men Looking To Cosmetic Surgery

lise charmel princesse de cleves

Plastic surgery is becoming an increasingly popular option for Britons, an industry expert reports.

According to Felicity Quigley, editor of Looking Good BuyAssociation, more people are getting surgical work done. Although levels among both sexes are rising, she suggested that a surging number of men are having such operations. Pointing towards research carried out by the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) a total of 32,453 surgical procedures were conducted by its members over the course of 2007. Such a figure represents a 12.2 per cent increase from the 28,921 recorded in 2006.

Despite the vast majority (91 per cent) of procedures being carried out on women, the number of men opting to have surgery has risen by 17.5 per cent during the last 12 months. In 2007, an estimated 2,881 males went under the knife, showing growth from the 2,452 recorded in 2006.

Those looking for a competitive way to fund such operations might wish to consider applying for a low-rate loan.

Ms Quigley said: “It’s been happening for a while. The rise of ‘metrosexuality’, I suppose, in the male population has been a catchphrase for a while. It certainly reflects that and I think cosmetic surgery is a natural progression on from that. Recently the BAAPS released some figures of year-on-year growth in the industry and although men are certainly not taking up the option of cosmetic surgery in anything like the numbers that women are, they’re still growing.”

She added that there is still something of a stigma attached to cosmetic surgery among Britons, particularly for males. “Certainly for men I think we’ve still got a little bit longer to go before people are going to be comparing their surgery scars,” she pointed out.

Figures from BAAPS also revealed that over 200 facelifts were carried out on men last year, with 716 males having nose job operations – a rise of 36 per cent from 2006. Furthermore, ear correction, liposuction and eyelid surgery were also identified as popular surgical procedures for men. In addition, breast reduction operations among men are up by more than a quarter (27 per cent). The Looking Good editor claimed that this shows cosmetic surgery “is a growing trend and it’s becoming more socially acceptable”.

She added that given the high amounts of media coverage that plastic surgery is receiving such procedures are increasingly in the public consciousness. However, Ms Quigley advised those considering having any work done to take the time to do their research before going under the knife. Consumers were advised to ensure that they choose a qualified surgeon and that “appropriate” healthcare is available. She also pointed out that there are risks involved with having surgery and that people should be aware they need to take time to recover from having an operation.

Those who are confident plastic surgery is for them and are looking for a competitive way to fund a procedure may wish to consider getting a low-cost personal loan. However, ahead of getting a loan it may be advisable for prospective borrowers to ensure that they will be in a position to meet demands for repayment in the future. A study carried out by Lloyds TSB in 2007 indicated that two-thirds of Britons (66 per cent) have been given a final warning for a reimbursement to be made on household bills, personal loans and credit cards.

Why Our Children Carry Guns?

At the end of March 2008, I spent the day with a 17-year-old Black male who shared with me why he carries a gun now and has carried one in the past. He lives in an urban area. His parents are middle class. He is a bright student. But he is America’s fasting growing statistic – he has carried guns, he has been shot, he has shot at other people, he has been arrested and he is now back in jail – all at the young age of 17 years old.

I asked him, “Why do y’all carry guns?” It was a rhetorical question since we both grew up and live in the same area. Nevertheless, I did not want to be like my contemporary know-it-alls in social development. I wanted to hear it straight from someone who lives it every day. I continued, “You know what I’m saying? You know what I’m saying.”

I let him answer and did not interrupt him. It was a rare moment in social youth development that I wanted to savor. The first rule: When young people speak, adults shut up! So he went on to tell me why he and his friends, who are known gang members of a Blood set, carry guns.

At first it’s just something you do because everybody is doing it. It’s like wearing clothes or sneakers. Then you become addicted. Carrying a gun is an addiction. You feel a new sense of power and being powerful. When you carry a gun you feel strong – invincible. It becomes a high like a drug. You start saying anything to other dudes you would normally not say. And you start doing things like bullying because you know that you got a “burner.” The girls find out that you carry a gun and you become an instance urban celebrity. They start telling other girls and the word gets around and you get instant overnight success. Dudes want really “step to you.” Girls want to have sex with you. Your boys want to help “rep with you.” It’s an amazing feeling and at the time you don’t want to do anything but carry that gun.

Now this young Black male has been arrested in the past and has several years pending on felony probation. So he has been in and out of jail over the past three years while carrying guns and being shot.

His response about the down side of carrying a gun:

It’s blazing at first. Then, after you go to jail, “you see all of the other guy from the hood in there doing “mad time” for carrying guns and shooting other dudes, you realize that this is real! Carrying a gun is no joke. When you are in jail you realize that it’s a dead-end life. Not like nowhere to go, but like your world – the ‘hood is so messed up that you know once you are back on the block you will need to carry that gun in order to survive. Other people, normal people won’t understand – they will never understand. But, where we come from carrying a gun is not optional, it’s mandatory to your daily life. “Yo. Dudes put on guns like they put on sneakers. It’s part of our urban gear! And until the politicians, police, teachers, people with money and the big wigs start giving dudes in the ‘hood some real chances at success, carrying a gun is what we will do best!”

As he spoke, I could hear the pain in his voice, the split emotions that pulled morality to fantasy. I have worked with the same demographic of youth since 1985 and their life is an emotion rooted in mortality. In 1992, I was working as a Behavioral Technician for Area Cooperative Educational Services in Hamden, Connecticut. The population I served consisted of approximately 80+ young Black males, 15 to 19 years old. The vast majority had violent offenses, many gun violations. I recall that one of the administrative staff (second in charge) asked me “Why in the hell would some body want to carry a gun?” Well, it was 1992, the height of the “American Drug Trade” – why wouldn’t anyone carry a gun?

I have been a law enforcement officer working in the urban sector for over 12 years. I spent over six of these years as a cop on a walking beat in the most dangerous neighborhoods in the city. I have walked with a partner and I have walked alone. I have lived in the inner city all my life and still do. I have worked with youth from the inner city for over 20 years. I have worked with some of the most socially, economically and educationally challenged youth in the New England area. And from all of this, I have derived that there is no one answer to the question “why do our children carry guns?” However, there are social systems and economic elements that will dictate who is more likely to carry a gun.

As just a brief explanation, young people in America don’t feel safe. They don’t feel safe at home because of domestic violence. They don’t feel safe at school because the educational system does not build self esteem for most youth. They don’t feel safe on the street – many feel pursued by predatory police officers in addition to being hunted by conglomerate urban-based street gangs. They don’t feel safe with their spirituality because morality has been replaced with materialization and religion with Capitalism. They don’t feel safe sexually because they are still murdered, kidnapped, raped, shot, starved to death, poor, and neglected – more than any other population of individuals on the face of the planet. And these are not opinion, these are real facts.

The interesting thing about social development is that the smart people tend to take a statistical approach to problem solving. However, often the solutions are all symptomatic to systems of inequality. Our children in America are living in apathetic social, economic, medical and educational conditions. I’m not talking a racial-based condition. I’m talking about the fact that our children’s needs are always placed on the back burner. After health and education, most states’ next largest spending is for incarceration. And I can tell you that incarceration is not rehabilitation – it’s social annihilation. Why, in 2008, are we not spending more money on youth violence prevention and social development? Gun violence is the number one cause of death in the United States among our youth. Gun violence by homicide is the number one cause of death for Black males in America. Where is the outrage? Where is the new public policy? The thousands of young people whom I have spoken with say “no one cares!”

Medical institutions are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on sickle cell research for African Americans. Yet, every year hundreds of Black males are deposited into their state-of-the-art trauma centers bearing State Rebate gun shot wounds. No hundreds of thousands of dollars are being spent to find out why. Just a community overlooked to die. So, why do our children carry guns? Educational institutions flooded with achievement stress and standardize drama. Students are arrested for carrying butter knifes, lighters and fingernail files all on the name of “school security.” But many of our urban young people don’t see security in their education. For most young urban males, their chances of not getting caught with a gun are better than their chances of graduating from high school. Their chances of not getting caught for shooting another urban male are greater than the possibility of their getting a job with medical benefits. Their chances of not getting caught selling guns and drugs are better than their ability to relocate to a better neighborhood where they could enjoy the “American Dream.”

So, this is partly why our children carry guns. For them, the end justifies the means!

Shafiq Abdussabur is an active law enforcement officer in the State of Connecticut with over 11 years of Community Base Police training and experience. He has been working with Inner City Youth since 1985. He is native of New Haven, Connecticut having grown up in various sections of the urban sectors of New Haven. He is a nationally recognized artist (BOLDMINDS Cultural Arts) and author.

In 2002, he founded CTRIBAT Institute for Social Development which services 210 young males and Females ages 9 yrs. old to 17 yrs. old. CTRIBAT offers students “life skill” workshops that focus on parent/student participation. The summer pilot called the “Leadership Retreat” focuses on fostering leadership skills in young people who reside in an Urban Environment (At-Risk Youth). The CTRIBAT 2006 Summer Pilot posted an impressive 400% reduction in firearm related violence in the neighborhood of operation. The CTRIBAT runs 12 months year. The program focuses on improving the relationship of law enforcement and the members of the urban sector.

The Greatest Breastfeeding Discovery

During the first days following the birth of your baby, your breasts begin producing colostrum, although your body began making it long before that – between three and four months of pregnancy. Colostrum doesn’t have many calories, but it has the right amount of protein and other nutrients your baby needs in the first few days after birth.

During those first days after birth, you may worry that your breast fed baby may dry up and blow away from lack of nutrition, but what colostrum lacks in volume it makes up for in power. It is exactly what your baby needs for it’s first milk. It is full of antibodies and immunoglobulins, which not only help protect your baby as it comes into this world of bacteria and viruses, but it also has a laxative effect that helps baby pass the tarry first stool called meconium.

It is a common misconception that when the baby nurses in the first day or two, that he gets nothing. Luckily this is not true. It is however, difficult to convince some mothers of the need to nurse early and often when they believe that their “milk has not come in.”

In addition some cultures hold the belief that colostrum is “bad” milk and will not breastfeed until the mother’s mature milk is in. Many women have to be engorged before they will believe that there is any milk for the baby. Likewise, if the mother is no longer engorged, she may falsely believe that her milk is gone.

Expressing a drop or two of colostrum for the mother will give her a strong visual cue that her breasts are not empty. The mother produces small amounts of colostrum in the first 24 hours; ranging from 7 ml to 123 ml. The newborn takes 7-14 ml per feeding (Riordan and Auerbach, 124).

A gradual increase occurs during the first day and a half followed by a dramatic increase in milk output by the second day that continues through day four. At 5 days postpartum milk production is approximately 500 ml/24 hours. This is evidence that mother nature intended the infant’s gastrointestinal tract to start up slowly after birth.

**As a result of observing that immigrant Bengali women in a London maternity ward failed to initiate breast feeding for a few days after birth, the author of this article decided to study this phenomenon. A review of the literature revealed that prelacteal feeds are common in the Indian subcontinent and in Egypt.

**Most UK studies of breast-feeding practices of Asian immigrants focus on the decline in breast-feeding prevalence. No research was found that directly investigates attitudes and beliefs about colostrum.

**The current study sought to determine what Bengali women believe about colostrum, why colostrum is omitted from early feeding, the duration of this omission, and what influences this belief and behavior.

**Data were gathered from 60 first-generation immigrants (58 non-English speaking), including 48 who had previously given birth in Bangladesh. Only two of the women surveyed knew that colostrum had helpful attributes. Others felt that it would either provide no benefit to their baby or would actually harm the infant.

Four Groovy Games to Play at Your Next Bridal Shower

One of the most fun — and occasionally dreaded — parts of a bridal shower are the games. Although they’re meant to be bonding experiences, bridal shower games aren’t for everyone … and if your gal group meets exclusively for cosmos and indie jazz, you might want to skip them.

But the fact is, bridal shower games serve a purpose. No matter how familiar or unsophisticated they might seem, they still serve as icebreakers. And icebreakers are especially useful if your shower combines guests from different walks of life. A shower might toss the bride’s work friends together with her hometown friends and a handful of relatives — and these groups probably don’t know each other — but an icebreaker can bring them together (of course, so can a few chilled bottles of Veuve Clicquot).

So if your guest list is a mixed bag of ages, backgrounds, tastes and styles, here are some true-blue games that will bring your shower through with flying colors.

Bridal Shower Bingo

One of the most popular is, of course, Bridal Shower Bingo. To play this game, dream up a list of words for each bingo card that relates to weddings, wedding gifts, the bride herself, or romance. For the cards themselves, arrange a grid of squares in your favorite desktop publisher, placing each word or phrase in its own square. Make the center square “free” (you’re just generous that way). Or just grab some of those no-cost, printable bridal bingo cards from the internet.

Give each guest their own card. Or if you really want to press home the icebreaker effect, get two guests to share one.

Next, print out your word selection with lots of letter spacing so you can cut up the sheet into strips and toss them in a basket.

Finally, have the hostess act as the caller. She’ll pull the words out of the basket and call them out. Once a player gets a complete marked-off line of words, either horizontally, vertically or diagonally, she shouts out “Bingo” (or “Bride”) in return for a prize.

Uncool, you say? Angelina Jolie would never be caught dead playing Bridal Shower Bingo? Maybe, but you’d be surprised how jiggy things get when you turn up the music and start calling out those words. There’s a reason why hundreds of people flock to bingo halls on a weekly basis — it’s freakishly fun. Leave the anthropologists to wonder why, and just roll with it.

Bingo Redux

One of the funniest variations on Bridal Shower Bingo is to give guests blank cards and have them fill it out with predictions of what gifts the bride will get.

Or for another twist, fill your cards with titles of songs relating to love and romance, and then play 10 second snippets from a CD you’ve burned ahead of time. This gives your guests the double challenge of identifying what they’re hearing, and crossing off the titles. Choose a sweet Starbucks-y combo of Cole Porter, Diana Krall, Ray Charles, and obscure Beatles tunes. It’s fun and cool.

Kiss George Clooney

You could also “kiss the groom,” but why not kiss George Clooney instead?

Take a sturdy board, and staple on a men’s shirt and pants combo from the thrift store. Draw in the hands and shoes, and glue on a life-sized printout of George Clooney’s winsome face. Have each guest apply a healthy dose of lipstick. Now blindfold her, turn her around three times, and have her try to kiss George Clooney on the lips. The closest kisser wins a prize (how about an inexpensive autographed photo from the man himself? Try eBay). The rest get to dream.

Lottery Tickets

Fast and simple, not too costly, and who knows? Someone might go home with special memories … to her new penthouse suite. It could happen!

Purse Pursuit

Or try a scavenger hunt — through a purse. In this game, give your guests a list of things you might find in one. Guests mark off items for points as they hunt through their own purses.

Give expected items (aspirin, cosmetics, mints) a few points. Hand out higher points for odder objects (tiny airline liquor bottles, a granola bar, crochet hooks, a Canadian coin). Award really high points for random items that might show up in a purse (a rock, toilet paper, chopsticks).

If all this seems too complicated, weigh each purse and hand out a prize to the heaviest handbag — since a gift certificate to an orthopedic specialist probably won’t fit your budget.

Almost all the artistic sections of human society have got a number of books written on them, be it film, painting or other crafts. Those books are read profoundly by the book lovers. Even the heaps of books written on fashion clearly indicate that it is not enough to wear fashion only, but its literature too needs some space in your wardrobe.

1.A to Zoe. Writer: Rachael Zoe

2.That Extra Half Inch: Hair, Heels and Everything in Between. Writer: Victoria Beckham

Victoria’s writing debut, assisted by Hadley Freeman, is many inches( read miles) ahead of contemporary books on fashion. 3.Glamour Girls. Writer: Patrick McMullan
PMC Publishing, 316 pp.

The fact that how black has survived through the course of history, and has remained always the most practical choice of fashion lovers, seems to be a definite inspiration for the writer. This is a visual translation of this “black” trend. He has worked a lot to present a vibrating collection of classic stills from movies, designer sketches and photographs of celebrities describing the charm and greatness of black. The collection of quotes on black is an added feature.

5.Forever Cool: How to Achieve Ageless, Youthful and Modern Personal Style for Men and Women. Writer: Sherrie Mathieson
Clarkson Potter, 256 pp.
Price: $23

Probably the most real, it comes with a truckload of tips and advices for all who have crossed their 40′s. The book contains no photo of famous personalities but shows the people of locality in an elegant manner. The book compares a pre-grooming photo of a real life model to his/her post-grooming one illustrating the difference. The writer gives simple but exciting tips which are more than enough to any middle-aged person to come back on the right track of fashion.

Definitely, looking at these fashion publications too will give a better insight of the fashion world.

Moreover, Exploring Fashion can give you a lot of tips related to fashion.

The Misleading Signs of Pregnancy

There is no doubt that many things related to the human body are baffling and confusing!

Almost everyone has had moments of wondering exactly why their body did something so peculiar, or mysterious, or perhaps even smelly, and so on and so on. Things can really become confusing when the person in question is a woman who may be wondering if she is pregnant or not.!

The various signs of pregnancy are just as confusing, if not more so, than any other medical
condition, but to hopefully help to clear things up, I have listed here a few common pregnancy
symptoms, as well as their causes, and possible reasons other than a pregnancy, for why they
may be occurring.

One of the most well known signs of pregnancy is morning sickness! This is described as
various degrees of nausea, when in some instances, women can even experience vomiting. It is
thought to be caused by a surge of the hormone human chorionic gonadotropin in the blood of a
newly pregnant woman. Morning sickness may also be a result of the expanding uterus pushing
on the stomach and creating an excess of stomach acids. In cases where the woman is not
pregnant, a virus, gall bladder disease, or other medical problem may cause this feeling of nausea.

Another well known sign of pregnancy is unusual food cravings. These usually occur in the first
trimester of pregnancy, and are thought to be caused by hormonal changes. Food cravings may
be a sign of poor nutrition, early signs of impending menstruation, or a stress coping mechanism, if they are experienced by a woman who is not pregnant.

No wonder it is often difficult to recognize the signs of pregnancy. For example, breast
tenderness can begin as soon as two to three days after conception, when there has not even
been time for a missed period. However, breast tenderness can also often be a symptom of the
beginning of the menstruation cycle. and therefore it is easy to see why this symptom which is
a normal occurrence, could be mistaken for a sign of pregnancy. If a woman is pregnant, tender
and swollen breasts are a result of the high levels of estrogen and progesterone in the body.

No woman who is pregnant or suspects that she may be, wishes to experience vaginal bleeding,
but continuing in the theme of confusing body symptoms, vaginal bleeding can sometimes
actually indicate a pregnancy. Among the many signs of pregnancy, some bleeding in early
pregnancy, is a sign of the egg implanting itself inside the uterus.

When this happens, the color is usually pink or brownish instead of vivid red, but when the woman is not pregnant, this bleeding may probably indicate the beginning of her monthly period, or has
happened as a result of her taking birth control pills.

These signs of pregnancy are just a few of the many misleading events that can happen when a
woman is trying to conceive. Although home pregnancy tests are fairly accurate, the only real
way to know for sure if conception has occurred is to visit the doctor for a blood pregnancy test.

I do hope that this brief article may have helped to contribute some useful information. Pregnancy is
a wonderful and sometimes frightening experience, and in all situations, you should not hesitate
to contact professional medical practitioners, even if you concern appears to be fairly minor.
